what we believe

We are a Calvary Chapel church.

We believe in salvation in Christ alone, by grace alone, through faith in the sinless life, atoning substitutionary death, and literal bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ alone. We desire to glorify God by equipping fellow believers with in-depth, theologically conservative verse-by-verse expositional Bible teaching. Classic historical Christianity - nothing added, and nothing taken away: the Bible alone is both our blueprint and road map.

For those versed in theological jargon: we exposit the Scriptures exegetically, verse-by-verse, holding to the verbal-plenary inspiration of the original manuscripts, employing a literal grammatical historical hermeneutic. We affirm the Apostle’s Creed, the Nicene Creed, the Athanasian Creed, and the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy.

(If your church does not affirm these basic historical Christian creeds, we would encourage you to find a Church that does.)

(Please note: the term "catholic" in the historical Christian creeds means "universal" and is not a reference to the Roman Catholic Church.)
